Kerry Valenzuela is an illustrator and children’s book writer based in Southern California. With a BFA in Illustration from California State University, Long Beach, Kerry brings stories to life through whimsical imagery inspired by her imaginative childhood, daydreams, personal experiences, and her rich German-Spanish heritage.

 

Her illustration style is marked by simplified shapes, bold compositions, expressive lines, layered textures, and playful patterns—all with a folk-art charm. Kerry’s work is driven by a deep passion to inspire children. Through both her art and storytelling, she hopes to encourage young readers to dream big, embrace who they are, and soar fearlessly toward their goals
